King’s College London is one of the Top 20 Universities in the world, according to the international world 2013-14 ranking. They are the fourth oldest university in England, holding over 25,000 students. As well as this, the college includes more than 10,600 postgraduates and over 7,000 employees. The College also has research earnings of nearly £587million overall annually.

PIB Dry Lining sub-contracted the Knauf Brio flooring to UK Acoustic Systems on behalf of the Main Contractor GB Building Solutions. We are an Approved Installer with a wealth of experience and expertise with this type of high density acoustic flooring. The Architect specified a combination of Knauf Brio and EPS100 Insulation, both of which are recyclable and amongst the most effective insulation materials available for acoustic performance and thermal performance in this student development.

King’s College London was our biggest installation of 2013, with our sub-contract package being valued at more than a quarter of a million pounds. The works programme and site constraints, plus the monumental task of providing an acoustic installation to cover 10,000m2 of floor area, meant UK Acoustic Systems had to step up to the challenge, completing all works to an excellent standard and within the required programme parameters of the Main Contractor on behalf of PIB Dry Lining.
