System benefits

product benefit

Alike other UFH systems, heat distribution is vital. However our suspended systems push the limits of a level output by, providing a void above the tray.

product benefit

Due to the lack of screed, UKAS Plates are significantly lighter than wet construction systems.”

product benefit

Pre-configured, insulated panels that include all the systems components already integrated.

System description

The Chipboard system is a unique combination of a structural floor solution, while incorporating underfloor heating. The system consists of pre-routed moisture-resistant T&G chipboard panels. Panels are routed to allow for 12mm UFH pipe to be easily installed into the channels. Pipework channels are routed typically at 150mm spacings, with radius returns and transit channels to facilitate installation. Often the tail/transit pipework is run beneath the floor in the joist void to minimise the need for any further routing of the boards. Chipboard conform to BS EN1991-1-2202 for A1, A2 and A3.
UK Acoustic Systems specify the use of a 6mm plywood (or cement-based alternative) to be laid over the system before laying the floor finish.
